Our Final Outcome
Self.I, Publication
Working with what we already had in the previous publication, we cleaned up the font and margins of this book and added a 21 day grid for to introduce the habit of mood-tracking and a full year calendar where the audience can colour in their own gradients. The book also acts as a mini planner and the pages are peforated so that the user can stick each particular month up on the wall to remind themselves to moodtrack every day.
This book consists of:
- The rationale behind the whole project.
- Our gradients as spreads.
- An activity portion of the book where we invite our audience to create their own mood gradients through a separate calendar that we perforated and they could tear out to stick it up somewhere they could access everyday.
- A bookmark with the legend.
- A book cover that consists of the strips of our gradient.
Final Thoughts
We love the fact that this final publication has an element of interactivity with the user. Not only that, we reinforced our idea of having a safe space for someone to start moodtracking.
We realised that in the end, we went full circle and came back to our calendar idea. This time however, we were more sure of our artefact and we learnt and experimented so much along the way.
The idea behind this publication is for something that is personal to us to be personalised by someone else and to make it their own.
We hoped that we success fully materialised our emotions and we hope that others would start mood tracking with us.
